At the membership meeting February 23, plans were disclosed to conduct at least two bicycle safety courses in 1999. The Dodgeville course will be repeated on May 1, and a course will be planned in Spring Green for May 15. As in 1998, we expect to sponsor the Wisconsin DOT a "train the trainer" course at Harris Park in Dodgeville in April 

We need club members to volunteer to assist with the May 1 and May 15 courses. Not everyone needs to attend the earlier session, though we encourage every member to do so if possible.

We are also looking for a few good cyclists to assist in our Three Mounds Century in July. Contact Stuart at 935-7737 if you are able to help.

Mark your calendars! The 2nd annual TMC is set. We will again be co-sponsoring this event with the Brewery Creek Brewing Co. in Mineral Point. The ride will have virtually the same 20/40/80/105 mile loops, though some of the longer ride route is being modified.

Fees will be $15 per rider if you pre-register, or $20 day of ride. T-shirts will be available at the ride for $15.

Food will again be served at the ride start in Mineral Point, and roadside food stops will be available at Belmont Mound and Hollandale.
